Nico Baumgärtel, the founder of the VAVO-NATURE has acquired specialist knowledge in various areas through his professional career. His past in a specialized unit of the German Army gave him extensive experience in a wide variety of climate zones and a strong ability to adapt to demanding environments under extreme conditions.
However, his great passion is nature and wildlife. Nico's learned skills, including animal tracking, help in locating, observing and filming animals. With over seven years of experience in the commercial film industry at VAVO-Media and in wildlife photography, he has deepened his knowledge and acquired excellent skills for wildlife film production. Nico's combination of military precision, closeness to nature, tireless motivation and cinematic expertise makes him an outstanding founder who advances the vision of VAVO-NATURE with his extensive experience, passion, and love for nature and animals.
Timo Wendt, our COO and Head of Postproduction, is at the heart of our creative vision and project execution. With over seven years of in-depth experience in editing and commercial film, he brings expertise that elevates our productions to an outstanding level.In his role as Head of Postproduction, Timo not only takes responsibility for processing our projects, but also acts as a strategic planner and contact person for our customers. His project management skills make him a reliable and efficient team member who always strives to achieve the set goals with the utmost precision.Timo Wendt is not only an expert in his field, but also a creative mind who understands the complexity of commercial and nature films and successfully puts them into practice. With his commitment and professional approach, he contributes significantly to the success of our projects.

Aaron Hauptvogel, a dedicated wildlife photographer with over four years of experience. His work as a camera assistant and camera operator reflects not only his technical expertise, but also his deep understanding of nature and its inhabitants.With an impressive patience and dedication to his craft, Aaron is able to respect the natural rhythms of wildlife while still capturing the moments that matter. Stefan Sans is our indispensable off-road specialist who takes us to every remote place with his skills. With impressive craftsmanship, Stefan enables us to set up camps, hides and other facilities in the shortest possible time, wherever nature takes us.In addition to his role as driver, Stefan also works as a camera assistant, making the most of his logistical skills to ensure that every aspect of our projects runs smoothly. His versatility as a team member is reflected not only in his technical skills, but also in his understanding of the requirements of film production.Stefan Sans is not only a vehicle expert and craftsman, but also a crucial part of our team, using his organizational skills and passion for nature to ensure we overcome every challenge and achieve the best results.
Maurice Kohn is an outstanding expert in our team, playing a key role as a location scout and tracking specialist. With his dedication to exploration, precise observation and careful planning, he plays a key role in shaping the visual aspects of our projects. His expertise gives us insight into the animals' movement patterns, which enables us to discover and visually plan filming locations. In addition, Maurice contributes significantly to the success of post-production, especially in the area of sound design. His skills in this area add a sonic dimension to our projects and ensure an immersive audiovisual experience. Axel Knaak, together with Nico Baumgärtel, was part of a specialized unit and completed the same demanding training.
